Cockpit Carpet

We offer quality marine cockpit carpeting from Corinthian Marine Carpet with AquaMat backing.

This is a big improvement from the usual black foam backed carpeting that was used in the past. If you ever had your black foam backed carpet deteriorate after a few years you will appreciate AquaMat. It will not fail or shrink.

We custom pattern your project for a perfect fit. We use snaps as required and if necessary. You can also pattern your own carpet.

Most new boat manufacturers are now using AquaMat marine cockpit carpet on their boats. The cost is virtually the same but the quality is not even close. We have templates available for Meridian, Bayliner and Maxum so we can turn orders for these boats around in about 2 weeks.

This is a 30 oz. polypropylene product that is mold resistant and UV stabilized. The quality of this carpet allows the manufacturer to give a 3 year warranty.

It is professionally bound with vinyl binding, which will last the life of the carpet. The same great factory colors are available and we can turn your order around in about 5 weeks. Call for an estimate.

Making Your Own Patterns

Tracing From Existing Mat

1. Lay out the template material flat on the ground.

2. Lay out existing mat on template material and trace with a marker.

3. Each template piece should have an arrow showing forward direction to bow and "Top" written on the side facing up. Also, include your name and phone number on each piece.

4. Cut template along the edges you have drawn.

5.Re-install the template and check for fit. Make sure the template lies flat with no bubbles or wrinkles. It should lay exactly as you want your mat to fit.

Creating Template

1. Lay out the template material on the floor of the boat.

2. Draw or cut around pedestal seats, stationary seats, table and any other area that you want to carpet around. Be sure to leave 1/2" from boat sides to allow for drainage.

3. Each template piece should have an arrow showing forward direction to bow and "Top" written on the side facing up. Also, include your name and phone number on each piece.

4. Cut template along the edge you have drawn.

5. Re-install the template and check for fit. Make sure the template lies flat with no bubbles or wrinkles. It should lay exactly as you want your mat to fit.

Mail pattern
For the optimum interpretation of the template pattern, roll it and package in a shipping tube. Folding the finished, cut template will cause creases and wrinkles which could impact fit. Include color choice and mailing information to the Leatherfarm.
